Music

Andrew has a new musical project called Rhapsody Meditation Farm. Listen to beautiful, “soul healing” soundscapes, relaxation and meditation music on YouTube at the Rhapsody Meditation Farm “Topic” link and Spotify here.

Here is the title track for his new album for you to enjoy:

While making an address by video at the 2022 Grammy Awards, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “On our land, we are fighting Russia, which brings horrible silence with its bombs — the dead silence. Fill the silence with your music. Fill it today to tell our story.” This music was composed, and this video was produced, in response, as a small contribution to filling that silence. While the underlying cello interplay is melancholy, I hope that the soaring violin melody will inspire some hope in these dark times and encourage more calls and action for peace. Special thanks to the generous community of photographers at UnSplash.com for the amazing photographs used to create this video.

Andrew has been a musician for over 50 years. A composition student of noted composer Clifford Crawley, and schooled as a classical and jazz trombonist, he has written, arranged and performed in a variety of styles, including jazz, pop, new age, classical/modern and country. He has been a guest conductor with the Apollo Chamber Orchestra, was the musical director of the Ron Marenger Big Band for many years and currently directs and plays with his own jazz quintet – “Six Feet Apart”.

Andrew also has a new one-man, musical showcase called “My Favourite Songs” in which he performs as a vocalist and trombonist, featuring songs from the Great American Song Book – jazz and show tunes – as well as his original songs, Scottish and Irish folk songs. “I say my show is all about my own ‘Musical DNA’.” A few clips below.
